I Don't Like Losing People

*sigh*

Many of you know that I work with the elderly.  You would think that I would get used to the words "they died".  That I would get used to death.  But I don't.  I don't like those words.

They hurt.

Those two words ... "they died" ... when place paired with the name of an individual I know ... hurt.

Sometimes they hurts more than others.  I know the ideals ... they aren't suffering any more ... they are in a better place ... they are now at peace ... and I do believe them.  However, that doesn't mean that those family and friends, aquaintances or just people who have been touched from a distance, don't feel the grief and sorrow of the passing.  That their hearts can't hurt.

Heck ... I was about strangled with grief when Jake stabbed Sammy in the back in May 2007 and I had to watch him die in his brother's arms.  Then I felt as though my own heart had been ripped out when Dean was killed last May and sent to Hell!  These are fictional characters, not actual living beings.  Yet my heart did ache and I did grieve.

Therefore, you might understand why it saddens me and hurts my heart to learn of the passing of our beloved Supernatural director - Kim Manners.
