I was fussed at last night because it's been awhile since I've posted something. My apologies. Here's what happens when my guilt collides with a lunch hour where I'm on my own with no distractions.

Supernatural: Time for a Birthday Party!

(This is a tradition that I started on my TVGuide blog with Dean's birthday in 2007.  For Dean and Sam I write a special story.  For Jensen and Jared I put together a little game.  I decided to post this here for my friend Sarie and any other Jared/Sam devotees that might want to party as well.)

Party!

Party!

Party!

Yes, it’s that time. It’s time to gather around and have some fun as we open up the Sanitarium’s Party Room and celebrate the birthday of a certain dark haired giant of a young man. By now, most of you know the drill … Dean and Sam get special stories for their birthdays. Jensen and Jared get party games. (I have to insert right here that I am SO INCREDIBLY GLAD that it is Jared’s birthday today and not Sam’s. I don’t believe I could write what that particular birthday would be like during this particular hiatus. Yikes!) Going with tradition, I have a little Jared themed Supernatural Party Game of dialogue fun, mixed with a few visual aids, that I hope you will all enjoy.

I don't sing in the shower.

Mainly because I’m usually not awake enough for coherency, let alone trying to string both tune and lyric together.

However, I am one of those people who sing in the car.

 Happy Monday, Friends and Inmates!

Summer is here. The calendar may be saying that it’s not for another month, but I know differently. There are two indisputable things that tell me that summer is upon us:

Thing #1 - Today is the last day of school for my girlies. It would have been last Friday, but we had to add an extra day due to the day taken for the recent flooding. So, according to my girlies, at 2:40pm today, summer officially begins.

Thing #2 – Last Thursday night was the season finale of Supernatural.

I wanted to go on hiatus early.

I wish I had followed my instinct.

It’s true. I quit. I’ve decided to go ahead and start hiatus now … today … BEFORE tonight’s episode.

The room was dark when he entered, the light from the motel sign illuminating him from behind. Silently he glanced around, noting the papers strewn over the end of the bed … noting that the bed was empty … BOTH beds were empty. Glancing over to the table, it’s laminate surface covered by an open laptop, small printer, and a dark shaggy head lying on the hand of an arm crooked at what appeared to be a really awkward (and painful) angle. Grimacing slightly at the sight, he noted that the other hand was resting on the keyboard, the light white blue cast from the computer screen shining softly on the long fingers.

Shaking his head, he sighed and placed the plastic sack he carried down on the floor inside the door before he closed it and made his way to the table. Noting the obscure writings on the computer screen and the gruesome picture beside the printer, he blanked his mind of “what ifs” and shook the young man’s shoulder.

“’mon Dude … time to rise and shine!”

Here is Parts Six through Ten of Supernatural: The Days Begin To Blur

Sanitarium Keys

This is not my post for Mystery Spot.  It was supposed to be but ... here's something funny ... I broke the LJ blogosphere.

Evidently it is even more fragile than the TVG blogosphere.

What makes me really laugh is the fact that I thought Mystery Spot was going to be one of my shorter blogs.  Until I watched it again after finishing DaLDoM and I put the two together.

Where DaLDoM was a tour de force for Jensen, Mystery Spot was the place where Jared simply shone.  The power of his looks, his total comfort in Sam's skin, his effortless portrayal of a conflicted, younger brother continues to build and express itself with a glance, a slight water to the eye, a hesitation, a quiet that is so effective and so moving.

So, if you would like to read it in it's entirety ... you can locate it in my Ramble Room on the TVG Blogosphere.

It is essentially written in ten parts ... you'll understand when you read it.

Here are parts One through Five of Supernatural:  When the Days Begin to Blur

I've been writing a blog after each episode now since Season Two's "No Exit".  While many have affected me in different ways, none have ever given me such difficulty in writing as Dream a Little Dream of Me.  I finally was able to finish it last week, simply because it was for me.  I had to do it.  I've been encouraged to go ahead and post it, although it is dreadfully after the fact.  With the episode re-airing this week, I decided to go ahead and share my thoughts.  It's not my typical blog, but then ... this wasn't our typical episode.

So, here it is ... my take on Dream A Little Dream of Me ...

Episode 1.09 – Asylum
Written by – Richard Hatem
Directed by – Guy Bee

No … you aren’t lost and no … I haven’t done the time warp. This is indeed my blog for last week’s new Supernatural episode – Malleus Maleficarum. However, I am going to need to warn you … I don’t think this is going to be a normal ramble. Yep, I can pretty much guarantee that because my mind is still not completely finished processing the threads that have become tangled in my mind with this episode. I’m not certain that is going to happen any time soon.
